Helper—June 2023–August 2025
I worked alongside older people to provide social connection and support to stay active and engaged while living independently at home. I also helped facilitate group workshops and 1:1 digital literacy support to older community members at libraries and community centres.
Key achievements
Cultivated warm and trusting relationships with 12 older people and empowered them to thrive independently at home.
Educated 60 older people to grow their confidence exploring the digital world through 1:1 support and group workshop facilitation.
Achieved high levels of client satisfaction through a tailored, person-centred approach, that included supporting one older person to record her life story for the benefit of her family and friends, and another to transform her garden for her wellbeing.
Documented client progress meticulously, with regular thanks from management for my exceptional care notes and personal organisation.
